What's New at Turner Field in 2015

The Atlanta Braves kick off their 2015 campaign today in Miami, and return to Atlanta this Friday, April 10, for the Home Opener. Below are a list of upgrades and enhancements fans will find at Turner Field this season.


  • MLB.com Ballpark app upgrades: The MLB.com Ballpark app will unveil a series of upgrades and improvements throughout the season, further enhancing the user experience and making Braves games easier to attend than ever.
    • Digital ticket management: A List members are now able to manage their tickets through the MLB.com Ballpark app in addition to the website and by phone, making it easier than ever to download or transfer tickets. 
    • Not going: A List members can use the app to return tickets for games they can't attend and get credit on their account to use for future upgrades, the memory program, or anything that can be purchased through the MLB.com Ballpark app. 
    • Sit with friends: A List members can use the MLB.com Ballpark app to search for seats in a comparable location for games that they need extra seats and want to sit together. Additional seats can be paid for using the MLB.com Ballpark app credit or a credit card.
    • Single-game ticket holders can buy points in the MLB.com Ballpark app to redeem for in-game memories like seat upgrades, personalized experiences, merchandise orders and more.
  • Piedmont Healthcare iBeacon Challenge: Piedmont Healthcare is sponsoring a #livingbetter challenge to fans this season via the MLB.com Ballpark App (available only on iPhones running iOS 7 or above). As fans make their way around the grounds they can keep an eye out for these special beacons that allow them to check into points of interest through the MLB.com Ballpark app (Bluetooth needs to be turned on). The app will then reveal fun facts and stories about the team and Turner Field. If a fan checks into at least five of the 11 points of interests throughout Turner Field, they will be eligible to receive a prize at Fan Central located behind Section 126. The program encourages walking and healthy habits as fans try to check into as many as they can, making it a perfect fit for Piedmont Healthcare.
  • Digital Services Representative: Technology and social media have become a huge aspect of the fan experience, and to further improve our guests' trips to Turner Field, the Braves have hired a gameday employee to monitor social media on behalf of Guest Services. The staffer will be solely focused on monitoring the Braves social accounts to alert staff of fan issues so they can be resolved while the fan is still in the stadium.

  • Upgraded Wi-Fi: During the offseason, Turner Field upgraded its Wi-Fi services to have ten times the user capacity and a speed 30 times faster than the old system, all of which will benefit our fans and optimize their in-stadium use.
  • Portable phone chargers: In addition to five universal phone chargers located within Turner Field, Guest Services (Section 146, 420, 437) will now offer portable phone chargers that can be checked out in exchange for the person's ID.

Hall of Fame & Museum
The Braves Hall of Fame & Museum has opened two new exhibits to pay tribute to the Braves 50th year in Atlanta, as well as a look back at the other cities the team has called home.

  • Homes of the Braves
    This exhibit features photos and information on all five ballparks the Braves have used in Boston, Milwaukee, and Atlanta, along with the shovel Hank Aaron used for the groundbreaking of SunTrust Park.
  • 50 Years in Atlanta
    Guests can view artifacts and photographs that highlight all the great moments of Braves baseball that have happened in the fifty years that the team has been in Atlanta.


  • Fielder's Choice: This new healthy concept cart in Section 102 gives fans the chance to keep it light at the ballgame with entrée salads, grilled sandwiches and grab and go items.
  • King of Pops: Atlanta's favorite popsicles are now available in three locations (Section 105, 233, 402) within Turner Field.
  • Red Hare National Common: Red Hare designed a new beer called National Common, specifically to be paired with the famous H&F Burger. The beer can be purchased at all three H&F Burger locations (Section 104, 150, 151).
  • Wing Diner: A new Wing Diner serving up chicken wings tossed to order in mango habanero, buffalo or lemon pepper sauce will be available in Section 102.
  • Sweet lovers: Fans can now get a funnel cake sundae served in a Souvenir Braves Helmet in Section 129.
  • New Amsterdam Bar: New Amsterdam Spirits will be serving up cocktails on tap and signature cocktails at their liquor-only bar in Section 222. 

Beginning April 27, fans that make a $200 or more purchase in Braves Merchandise at the Braves Clubhouse Store at CNN Center will receive a Dooney and Bourke cosmetic case, while supplies last.

Piedmont Healthcare Blue Lot
Piedmont Healthcare is now the official sponsor of the Blue Lot, which is located on Fulton Street. The distance of the Blue Lot to Turner Field encourages walking and supports Piedmont Health's #livingbetter campaign.
