CHICAGO -- Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins and Billy Williams joined Ernie Banks' sons, Jerry and Joey, to throw out ceremonial first pitches prior to Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Banks died in late January at the age of 83, and the Cubs observed a moment of silence and showed a montage of some of Mr. Cub's career highlights on the new video board.
The Cubs also honored Banks by stretching oversize black-and-white photos from his career over the left- and right-field bleachers, which are under construction.
All fans attending the game were given No. 14 pins in honor of Banks.
