Granderson OK after getting hit, back in lineup

ARLINGTON -- Mets right fielder Curtis Granderson was back in the lineup Friday after being hit on the knee by a pitch and leaving the game the day before.

"There's still some swelling but it's in a unique spot, it's in a spot that's not restricting anything," Granderson said. "They checked it and said if it was a little higher or a little lower, I might have had more complications. But I guess I got hit in the best place I could."

Granderson leads all Mets regulars this spring with a .435 batting average and a 1.252 OPS entering Friday's game against the Rangers.

Injury update

Second baseman Daniel Murphy (hamstring) went 3-for-4 in a Minor League intrasquad game Friday and is expected to be in Washington, D.C. and in the lineup for the Mets' opener against the Nationals, manager Terry Collins said Friday.
