The Seattle Mariners today announced the renewal of the exclusive multi-year sponsorship agreement with Northwest Ford Stores that designates Ford the "official car and truck" of the Seattle Mariners. Per Seattle Mariners policy, the financial terms of the sponsorship agreement were not released.
Under the agreement, Ford will be the presenting sponsor of Opening Day festivities on April 6, when the Mariners meet the Los Angeles Angels (1:10pm first pitch). Ford is also presenting sponsor of the three-game opening series against the Angels (April 6-8).
In addition, Ford is the naming sponsor of the regular in-park updates of scores from around Major League Baseball that are displayed on the large LED scoreboard located over the bullpens in left field. Ford's Safeco Field sponsorship signage locations include a 12-foot by 11-foot lighted "Built Ford Tough" sign on the right side of the Out of Town Scoreboard and one-half inning per game on the home plate rotational signage.
Ford will also continue as the presenting sponsor of the popular Hat Trick video feature on MarinersVision HD video board.
On June 5, when the Mariners meet the Tampa Bay Rays, Ford will kick off a Peanut Butter Drive to collect donations for Northwest Harvest. Fans can drop off jars of peanut butter at the Ford F-150 truck display on the plaza next to the parking garage and at the Ford vehicle display at Section 142 on the Main Level inside Safeco Field.
