Dodgers acquire utilityman Johnson from Rangers

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dodgers acquired Minor League utilityman Elliot Johnson from the Texas Rangers for cash on Tuesday.

Johnson, 31, has played parts of five seasons in the Major Leagues with Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Atlanta and Cleveland.

He was hitting .194 in 19 games this spring.
