Jimmy Faseler, the Royals superfan who was shot recently in a home invasion, thanked fans and friends on Twitter for their support as he recovers in a Kansas City area hospital.
Faseler then tweeted, "I probably won't be posting too much for now. I don't have a lot of strength and need to conserve my energy for learning to walk again."
Part of that support came from the Royals, who made a video for Faseler. In the video, first baseman Eric Hosmer says, "We heard what happened. We want to wish you a speedy recovery, and we can't wait to see you at the 'K.'"
Police say two men shot Faseler when he came back to his Independence, Mo., home and interrupted a burglary last weekend.
Faseler became well-known among Royals fans after a video of him dancing went viral.
Over $12,000 has been raised for Faseler's medical bills on his GoFundMe page at http://www.gofundme.com/plysys
