Dodgers sell 3 million tickets in record time

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dodgers have reached 3 million tickets sold for the 2015 season, the earliest date in franchise history they have reached that mark.

The milestone was reached one week earlier than a year ago, which was the previous franchise record.

Season-ticket sales have again been capped at 35,000.

"Interest and support is stronger than it's ever been," said president and CEO Stan Kasten.

The Dodgers drew a total home attendance of 3,782,337 in 2014, leading the Major Leagues for the second consecutive season and drawing the second-highest amount in franchise history.
