Schoop absent to undergo dental work

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Jonathan Schoop was unavailable for Wednesday's game, as the O's second baseman was undergoing dental work.

"He needs all four wisdom teeth out, and he needs two teeth extracted," manager Buck Showalter said. "They're going to try and hold off on the wisdom teeth, but he's going to be down for a few days."

Schoop is 9-for-37 with two homers and two doubles in 14 spring games.
