What to watch for in today's games

Spring Training games continue today in Florida and Arizona, with multiple pitchers continuing their bids to make their respective rotations.

Here are three things to watch for:

Right-hander Esmil Rogers is set to make his fourth Grapefruit League start in what could be his final audition for the Yankees' fifth-starter spot. Manager Joe Girardi has said he would like to make a decision by the end of the week. Right-handers Adam Warren, Chase Whitley and Bryan Mitchell are also candidates.

Rogers has allowed three runs in 9 1/3 innings with nine strikeouts in five appearances.

Interesting arms aplenty in Mesa, CHC @ OAK, 4:05 p.m. (Listen on Gameday Audio)

Veteran righty Edwin Jackson looks to continue his solid spring today as he vies for a spot in the Cubs' rotation. Jackson has allowed one earned run in nine innings over three starts, striking out six.

Lefty Drew Pomeranz starts for the A's as he continues to battle for a starting spot amid crowded competition. Veteran Barry Zito, who entered camp as a long shot to make the roster, follows Pomeranz and could potentially pitch his way into a long-relief role.

Cashner takes the hill, SEA @ SD, 4:05 p.m. (Listen on Gameday Audio)

Right-hander Andrew Cashner, the Padres' No. 2 starter, makes his fourth Cactus League start today against the Mariners. Cashner has been impressive thus far, allowing one run on five hits in eight innings while holding opposing batters to a .179 average.

Mariners veteran J.A. Happ, expected to to the club's fourth starter, gets the ball for Seattle.
