Wright, Berry optioned to Minors

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Orioles optioned right-hander Mike Wright and left-hander Tim Berry to Triple-A Norfolk and are expected to make a few more moves Saturday.

Wright allowed two runs on five hits with one walk and eight strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. He had four spring appearances, including one start against Toronto.

"He's presented himself as a viable option for us in two different roles," manager Buck Showalter said. "He continues to make strides."

Berry pitched in four games this spring and allowed five runs, four earned, in five innings for an ERA of 7.20.

With these moves, the Orioles now have 43 players in Spring Training, including nine non-roster invitees.
