Prospect Austin among Yankees optioned

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Yankees trimmed their spring roster by five players on Friday, including outfielder Tyler Austin, who is rated as the club's No. 18 prospect according to MLB.com.

New York optioned Austin, right-hander Danny Burawa and left-hander Jose De Paula to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The club also optioned outfielder Mason Williams, the team's No. 27 prospect according to MLB.com, to Double-A Trenton. Right-hander Wilking Rodriguez was reassigned to Minor League camp.

Forty-eight players remain in camp for the Yanks: 24 pitchers, six catchers, 12 infielders and six outfielders.
