Reds, Rangers rained out

Tickets may be either exchanged or refunded through the original payment method

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Reds awoke to rain in the Valley of the Sun on Thursday, and it didn't let up in time for their scheduled afternoon game against the Texas Rangers, so the game was called.

It is the Reds' fifth rainout since moving to their Cactus League home in 2010 from Sarasota, Fla. There was one rainout in 2010, one in 2011 and two in 2013.

The Reds are slated to play the Giants at Scottsdale Stadium on Friday night, but they will first attempt to play an intrasquad game at the Goodyear complex Friday at 1 p.m. MT.

According to Goodyear Ballpark, tickets for Thursday's rainout may be either exchanged or refunded through the original method of purchase.

For season ticket and mini-plan holders, tickets may be exchanged in person at the ballpark's ticket office for another game based on availability, and refund dollar values will be issued based on the original method of payment four-to-six weeks after the conclusion of the Spring Training season.

For tickets purchased at the ballpark ticket office or team shops, refund requests along with ticket stubs must be received no later than April 15 and should be mailed to: Goodyear Ballpark, Spring Training Refund, 1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear, AZ 85338.
