Rangers, Reds cancelled because of rain

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Rangers' game against the Reds on Thursday was cancelled because of rain.

Left-hander Ross Detwiler and right-hander Nick Martinez were scheduled to pitch for the Rangers. Detwiler, Martinez and Kyuji Fujikawa will piitch in a simulated game at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rangers have split-squad doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. Derek Holland is scheduled to pitch on Friday against the Mariners in Surprise while Anthony Bass is starting against the Dodgers in San Antonio. Colby Lewis pitches against the Brewers on Saturday in Surprise and Anthony Ranaudo is scheduled to start against the Dodgers.
