Yanks Minor Leaguer Cedeno suspended 72 games

TAMPA, Fla. -- Yankees right-handed prospect Moises Cedeno has been issued a 72-game suspension without pay for violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment program.

The suspension was announced on Thursday by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball. Cedeno, 19, is currently on the roster of the Yankees' Dominican Summer League team, and he tested positive for Clenbuterol, a performance-enhancing substance.

Cedeno's suspension will be effective at the beginning of the DSL season. He was 4-4 with a 3.23 ERA in 13 starts for the DSL Yankees last year.
