KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The Nationals made another round of cuts on Sunday. They optioned right-hander Taylor Hill to Triple-A Syracuse and reassigned right-handers Eric Fornataro, Mitch Lively and Scott McGregor to Minor League camp.
Hill, who made his Major League debut last year, pitched four innings and allowed two runs this spring. He last pitched Saturday against the Mets and allowed two runs in 1 2/3 innings. He most likely will be part of Syracuse's rotation.
Fornataro, Lively and McGregor didn't see much action during Spring Training. They pitched in a combined 6 2/3 innings this spring.
