PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Even though the Mets do not begin the regular season at home, fans will have the chance to watch the opener from Citi Field.
Fans are invited to watch the game from Citi Field where the Mets will broadcast the April 6 season opener against the Nationals from Nationals Park at 4:05 p.m. ET. Fans can take in the action on the Mets' new high definition video board in center field, complete with between innings giveaways, entertainment and a fully operational Mets Fan Fest.
The event is free and complimentary tickets will be available in blocks of four starting Monday at 10:00 a.m. ET at Mets.com/WatchParty.
Gates to the Jackie Robinson Rotunda will open at 3:00 p.m. ET and parking in Lots D and F will cost $10 per vehicle. The Mets are expected to announce any further details in the coming weeks.
