BRADENTON, Fla. -- The Pirates on Wednesday announced contract agreements with 21 players, bringing their entire 40-man roster into the fold.
The development was purely procedural. All 21 players have fewer than four years of service, making them not yet eligible for salary arbitration.
The 21 players thus coming to terms included pitchers Arquimedes Caminero, Gerrit Cole, Brandon Cumpton, John Holdzkom, Nick Kingham, Bobby LaFromboise, Jeff Locke, Stolmy Pimentel, Casey Sadler, Rob Scahill and Jameson Taillon; catchers Elias Diaz and Tony Sanchez; infielders Jordy Mercer, Justin Sellers , Alen Hanson and Pedro Florimon; and outfielders Gregory Polanco, Jaff Decker, Willy Garcia and Andrew Lambo.
