LOS ANGELES -- Former Dodgers and Cardinals infielder Pedro Guerrero was recovering and in good spirits after being hospitalized in the Dominican Republic with bleeding in his brain.
The 58-year-old Guerrero, the 1981 World Series MVP with the Dodgers and a five-time All-Star, was said to be improving and able to eat, according to Dodgers official Jon Weisman.
Guerrero, who splits time between Santo Domingo and Miami, has been a hitting coach in the Dominican and a manager in Mexico in recent years.
