Blue Jays sign Santiago

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed INF RAMON SANTIAGO to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League spring training.

Santiago, 35, played in 75 games for the Cincinnati Reds last season, appearing at second base, shortstop, third base and left field. The right-handed hitting Dominican Republic native posted a .246 average in 2014 and owns a .243 career mark over his 13 seasons with the Reds, Tigers and Mariners.
