The Tigers' Grapefruit League home slate includes games against the Yankees on March 20 and April 2, meetings with the Nationals March 17 and 22, a March 25 visit from the resurgent Marlins, a March 28 visit from the Cardinals and a March 31 matinee with the Pirates.
All games at Joker Marchant Stadium are slated as 1:05 p.m. starts. Games will again be priced at three levels, depending largely on the opponent and the day of the week.
For those looking to head south early and catch the early camp workouts at the Tigertown complex, pitchers and catchers will hold their first official workout on Friday, Feb. 20, with full-squad workouts beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Can't make it to Florida this year? FOX Sports Detroit will televise five games over the final two weeks of camp beginning March 22 against the Braves. Other games on the network include the March 25 game against Miami, March 26 against Baltimore, March 30 against Atlanta and the April 3 spring finale against the Rays. ESPN is scheduled to televise the April 2 matchup with the Yankees, while MLB Network will release its Spring Training slate soon.
On radio, 22 Spring Training games are scheduled to air locally on 97.1 FM or 1270 AM, and online at MLB Gameday Audio. Play-by-play broadcaster Dan Dickerson and Jim Price return for their 13th season as the Tigers' radio tandem.
For the Tigers, meanwhile, the relationship with Lakeland continues to be the longest active pairing of a Major League team with a Spring Training city. This year marks the team's 79th season in Lakeland, and its 50th consecutive season of games at Marchant Stadium.
