MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Twins today announced that single-game tickets for the 2015 season at Target Field go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 21. In addition, tickets for the 2015 Home Opener against the A.L. Champion Kansas City Royals on Monday, April 13 will go on sale starting at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 23 in conjunction with the start of TwinsFest. Tickets will be made available via www.twinsbaseball.com, by calling 612-33-TWINS (612-338-9467), 800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467) or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office.
Twins season tickets are currently on sale. In 2015, Twins season ticket holders will receive new benefits including an enhanced ticket exchange program as well as convenient access to tickets on their mobile devices. Twins season ticket holders will continue to receive a host of exclusive benefits through the popular Sweet Spot loyalty program including the 10 percent discount on Target Field concessions and merchandise as well as early access to the ballpark to watch batting practice free of charge.
"We are looking forward to a successful 2015 season after this busy and productive offseason," said Twins President Dave St. Peter. "The 2015 schedule is extremely attractive and we are anticipating another season of high demand games."
As in previous seasons, the Twins will apply variable pricing to all tickets for the 2015 season. Per-game prices for both single-game and season tickets will be based on factors such as time of year, date and opponent. The five-tier variable pricing structure will apply to all single-game tickets sold on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Beginning Sunday, Feb. 22, the Twins will apply demand-based pricing to all seating sections of Target Field for the 2015 season. Demand-based pricing, which prices tickets according to fan demand, is a practice that has become standard across the sports and entertainment industries. The system, which was implemented at Target Field in 2011, applies only to single-game ticket sales and does not affect Season Ticket Holder pricing.
The Twins begin their Opening Series at Target Field with three games against the A.L. Champion Kansas City Royals (April 13, 15 and 16) and a set against the Cleveland Indians (April 17-19).
The home interleague schedule includes a weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers (June 5-7), a "home and home" series against the St. Louis Cardinals (June 17 and 18 at Target Field) a weekend series against the Chicago Cubs (June 19-21) and a visit by the Pittsburgh Pirates (July 28 and 29).
The Twins 2015 schedule features 10 home games in the month of April; 16 in May; 14 in June; 14 in July; 11 in August; 13 in September; and 3 in October. Other home schedule highlights include a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox starting on Memorial Day (May 25-27) and a weekend series against the New York Yankees (July 24-26).
Through five seasons at Target Field, the Twins have attracted a total of 13,896,351 fans (an average of 31,865 per game).
