Texas Rangers to conduct free clinic for area youth baseball coaches

Jeff Banister and Major League staff to participate in January 25 clinic at Globe Life Park in Arlington

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers today announced that the club will conduct a clinic for area youth baseball coaches on Sunday, January 25 at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister and members of his major league staff will be among the instructors in the classroom-style clinic, which is open to youth baseball coaches at no charge on a first come, first served basis.

Registration is limited and begins today, MONDAY, DECEMBER 29 at texasrangers.com/camps.

The Coaches Clinic will include instruction on pitching mechanics, baseball philosophies, planning a practice, and hitting. Participants will also receive lunch and a Rangers' goodie bag.

The Rangers Hall of Fame will serve as the location for the Coaches Clinic with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. on January 25. Instruction will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the clinic is expected to conclude around 3:00 p.m. 

The clinic is presented by the Texas Rangers and Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation as part of the ongoing commitment to support youth baseball and softball in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and throughout the Southwest.
