Dodgers send outfielder Jensen to Triple-A

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers outrighted outfielder Kyle Jensen to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Jensen was acquired Nov. 17 from the Miami Marlins for a player to be named. On Dec. 15, the Dodgers sent Minor League pitcher Craig Stem to the Marlins to complete the trade.

On Friday, the Dodgers designated Jensen for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who was acquired from Philadelphia in a trade.

Jensen has since cleared waivers and will be retained at Triple-A for depth. He's a 25-year-old right-handed hitter who had 27 homers and 92 RBIs at Triple-A in 2014.
