All-Star Game ticket lottery begins

DETROIT -- The last chance for fans to buy tickets to this year's All-Star Game and festivities is here. Registration for the All-Star ticket lottery begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET and runs through May 26 at 5 p.m.

Those who fill out and submit the online form at will be included in the lottery for remaining tickets to the All-Star Game and accompanying events July 8-12 at Comerica Park. Winners will have the chance to purchase up to two strips of All-Star Week tickets.

Each strip includes a ticket to the All-Star Game, Workout Day, Home Run Derby, All-Star Sunday including the Futures Game, and All-Star FanFest.

The All-Star Game is scheduled to be played on July 12.

More than 1,000 tickets are expected to be made available.

Those selected will be notified no later than June 1 and will have a limited window in which to purchase their tickets. Any remaining tickets after that will go back into a lottery among those who weren't selected the first time around.
