Pirates unveil alternate jersey honoring Armed Forces

PITTSBURGH -- Always a dedicated and passionate supporter of the Armed Forces through Pirates Charities, the club will show that care on its hearts during the 2015 season.

And on its shoulders, arms and torsos, too, as the Bucs unveiled new camouflage uniforms Saturday during the early hours of this weekend's PirateFest.

From A.J. Burnett to Mark Melancon ... one-by-one the two dozen players and coaches hobnobbing with fans in the 25th annual offseason ballpalooza took to the main stage at PirateFest (what did you expect, a catwalk?) to show off the alternate jerseys the Bucs will be wearing for every Thursday home game of the coming season.

The new look that immediately went on sale will also be the players' wardrobe throughout the weekend.

The jerseys feature a brown digital camouflage pattern and includes black "Pirates" lettering and the number outlined in gold.
