The book will be available as a pre-order for $35 each (plus $5 shipping/handling fee) online at whitesox.com/PKbooks. Books will be shipped in late January 2015. Each advanced purchase will include a downloadable gift certificate suitable for holiday gift giving.
"Paul was a tremendous supporter of White Sox Charities throughout each year of his career with the White Sox," said Christine O'Reilly, executive director of Chicago White Sox Charities. "We are thankful for all that Paul has done for the White Sox, and this commemorative book will allow fans to remember the many moments from Paul's great career, while also supporting the organization's charitable efforts."
Proceeds from the book sale will benefit CWSC. CWSC provides annual financial, in-kind and emotional support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations, including those who lead the fight against cancer and are dedicated to improving the lives of Chicago's youth through education and health and wellness programs, and offer support to children and families in crisis. In 2014, Chicago White Sox Charities awarded nearly $1.68 million in grants and other donations. The most recent contributions moved the team's non-profit arm to nearly $21 million in cumulative giving since its inception in 1990.
