NEW YORK -- The Mets will host their annual holiday coat drive this Wednesday from 10 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. at Citi Field. Fans donating a new or gently used coat will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a Mets home game in April 2015 (excluding Opening Day), as well as a 15 percent discount off regularly priced merchandise at the team store.
Fans can park in Lot G on 126th St. or take the subway to reach the Citi Field team store, adjacent to the Jackie Robinson Rotunda. Mr. Met will also be on site from noon to 1 p.m.
The Mets are running the coat drive in conjunction with New York Cares, the city's largest volunteer management organization. New York Cares runs volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies and public schools.
