Sizemore hurt the knee when diving back into first base following his RBI single in the third inning. He singled to center and dove back to the bag when the throw home got cut off near the mound.
But that's when Sizemore hurt the knee. For now, manager Manny Acta will wait to see how Sizemore is tomorrow in St. Petersburg, Fla., before deciding what to do next.
"I landed on it funny," Sizemore said. "We'll see how it feels tomorrow and hopefully it will be in a better spot than I was ... today."
Acta said the knee looked better after the game, so they're hopeful it will improve even more by tomorrow.
"He hit it really hard when he slid back to first base on that RBI single," Acta said. "We'll see how it is when he shows up at the park tomorrow."
Sizemore had already gone 1-for-2 with a spectacular diving catch in the first inning that saved at least one run, but Trevor Crowe pinch-hit for him in the fifth.
"I felt kind kind of funny getting up [after diving back in]," Sizemore said. "I tried to run to second base ... couldn't put any weight on it, couldn't run at all."
