The largest crowd in All-Star Game history -- 72,086 -- took in the 1981 contest at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland, the fourth and final Midsummer Classic to be played there. The National League scored all five of its runs on homers in the 5-4 victory, with Mike Schmidt, Dave Parker and Gary Carter each going deep. Fernando Valenzuela became just the second rookie hurler to start an All-Star Game with a scoreless first inning.
