The league returned to just one All-Star Game this season. Willie Mays was in the middle of nearly everything for the NL. He scored two runs, drove in two more and swiped two bases to help lead the NL to victory. On defense, Mays robbed Joe Pepitone of extra bases in the eighth inning with a running grab in center field.
