Willie Mays and Ernie Banks helped carry the National League to victory in this game. The NL jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Mays began the game with a triple and scored on an RBI single by Bob Skinner, which was followed by a two-run homer off the bat of Banks. Mays finished the day 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple, while Banks went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer.
