Every Thanksgiving comes with a yearly tradition: The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
This year's Parade featured the oversized balloons and floats you'd expect to see traveling around the streets of New York City -- Pikachu, various Power Rangers, Charlie Brown among them -- but one in particular warranted a special shout-out.
The 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street is a holiday classic, and anyone who remembers the film well probably noticed this guy roaming the city:
That's right! It's Harold, the baseball player seen in the original film. Only, this one's a new version. Here's a flashback of the original:
Did you see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade return of the Harold balloon as seen on 1947 holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street? 🎅 pic.twitter.com/QVqDSTBsb2- Santikos Ent. (@mysantikos) November 23, 2017
Not bad, huh? Plans for Harold 2.0 were in the works for a while, finally coming to fruition on Thanksgiving day.
Harold made his debut a few weeks back in a similar balloon event in the New York area:
Welcome back, Harold!
