The winners of the 2017 Cy Young Awards have been announced. Taking home the National League title was Max Scherzer and the recipient of the American League award was Corey Kluber.
For those who don't know, nobody shows as much enthusiasm and emotion as Kluber. OK, so that's not exactly true. As a matter of fact, it's quite the opposite.
When Kluber was announced as the AL Cy Young Award recipient, he gave his typical response … one of very little emotion:
That's all right, though. He deserved the honor after finishing the season with a league-leading 2.25 ERA, 18 wins and three shutouts in 29 starts. Kluber also received 28 out of 30 first-place votes, and he even laughed later in the MLB Network interview. But nothing made him smile quite like his family:
