The hot dogs were still warm, the fans hadn't made it out of the parking lot and the postgame shows were just starting after the Dodgers' 3-1 victory in Game 6 of the World Series on Tuesday ... and there in the outfield was Lance McCullers Jr.
With the winner-take-all Game 7 now officially on the horizon -- not too surprising considering it's the first World Series in 40 years featuring two 100-win teams -- McCullers decided he didn't want to waste any time getting his work in before his second start.
McCullers will be looking to do what he did in Game 3, when he defeated the Dodgers after giving up three runs in 5 1/3 innings. Assuming he's going to be following the same game plan, expect to see plenty of knuckle-curves diving low and out of the zone.
UPDATE: McCullers tweeted that he was just getting in regular work before his big start.
Thank you 🙌🙌. I didn't throw Pre game because I was in the pen for late innings tonight so I had to get my work in post game. Nothing else. https://t.co/2BOr50YxXJ- Lance McCullers Jr. (@LMcCullers43) November 1, 2017
