Whether hitting a home run, running the bases, fielding his position or just hanging out in the clubhouse, the Yasiel Puig Experience is unlike any other in baseball. It's equal parts high drama and high comedy, full of pathos and passion -- and during NLDS Game 2 against the D-backs on Saturday night, he wrapped all of that into a single at-bat.
It was a big spot for the Dodgers: Trailing Arizona, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth, L.A. had runners on first and second with just one man out. Puig was ready. Puig was excited. So excited, in fact, that after taking an 0-2 pitch in the dirt from Robbie Ray, he couldn't help but bust out in a jig:
But Puig was far from done. Just two pitches later, he got a pitch to handle and lined a single into center field. And, as you might expect from a big moment in Dodger Stadium involving Yasiel Puig, there was a bat flip and a whole lot of yelling:
