Generally speaking, over-the-railing catches are reserved for outfielders -- you know, the men who are tasked with going above and beyond to reel in fly balls every day.
But, in the sixth inning of the Mariners' 3-1 loss to the Astros on Tuesday night, a Seattle ballgirl found herself sitting atop the railing down the first-base line at Safeco Field as a foul ball hurtled her way. Her response was enough to make Mike Trout blush:
Most importantly: After reeling it in, she followed the Golden Rule of ballgirl-dom and handed the souvenir to a young Mariners fan sitting nearby. Well done all around.
