The Giants celebrated Dog Day with a dog costume contest, and we were all winners

The Giants' 13-8 win over the Twins on Sunday wasn't just any old game. It was the return of one of the greatest promotions in American sports: the Dog Days of Summer, in which dogs are not only allowed to parade around AT&T Park before first pitch but are also encouraged to enter a costume contest.

As you might imagine, a whole lot of Very Good Dogs showed up.

Alas, every contest must have a winner, even if that contest contains adorably costumed dogs. So, without further ado, allow us to present ... Buster "Zeus" Posey:

Next year: an entire roster of dogs, or so we hope.
