A Royals double play was very nearly foiled by a ball going through Eric Hosmer's glove

Over the years, more than a few would-be outs have been foiled by an infielder's equipment malfunction. It looked like that fate would befall Eric Hosmer on Thursday against the Rangers -- but luckily, the webbing in his glove stood firm and created a nice little snowcone instead:


Yet more proof that, in some nature center out there, the Rally Mantis is still smiling upon Kansas City.
