Tim Tebow hit a home run in his very first Minor League at-bat

At the end of a very eventful Spring Training, the Mets assigned Tim Tebow to the Class A Columbia (S.C.) Fireflies, the first step on a road that he hopes will lead all the way to Citi Field.

That journey officially began on Thursday night, when the Fireflies opened their season at home against the Augusta GreenJackets. And, in his very first at-bat, Tebow went yard -- no, seriously:
