HBO's start-up centered sitcom "Silicon Valley" returned for its second season Sunday night, and the premiere opened with a scene at a familiar San Francisco locale: AT&T Park.

Richard (played by Thomas Middleditch) and the rest of the Pied Piper team were at the Giants' ballpark to be courted by a VC investment fund after the success in last season's finale. And it was a true baseball-by-way-of-Silicon-Valley experience.

Richard took pitches from a professional:

As Zach Woods' Jared so accurately put it: "It seems very frightening."

But, Richard looked truly excited to see himself on the jumbotron:

Of course, there were a lot of bad tech/baseball puns:

"Richard, after your perfect game at Tech Crunch Disrupt a few weeks ago, we fell in love with you and your tech. … We'd love to have you come play on our team. … Because together, Richard, we'd be a hoooooome ruuuuuuun!"

Though not everyone seemed totally enthused to be inside the home of the reigning MLB champs.

Kumail Nanjiani's Dinesh knew the signficance: "We're standing on the field of the World Series champions."

To which Martin Starr's Gilfoyle responded: "It's totally lost on me."
