Bryce Harper found himself in the hot seat, and not just because the heat index reached the mid-90s in Kissimmee, Fla., on Friday. For the second year in a row, some MLB players voted him the most overrated player in baseball, according to the 2015 season preview in ESPN the Magazine that hit newsstands (inboxes?) this week.
How did Harper handle the news? Well, he responded by tattooing this no-doubter over the right-center-field fence for his first home run of the spring:
We're pretty sure that you don't get bonus points for distance -- but if you did -- that dinger would certainly qualify.
Harper is off to a bit of slow start this spring (5-for-21), but the MLB players polled by ESPN might have just awoken a sleeping giant -- er -- National.
