Craig is in his first season as the Cubs major league first base/catching coach following two seasons as the bullpen catcher/receiving coach for the Philadelphia Phillies, his first coaching assignment in professional baseball...Graduated in 2011 from the University of Puget Sound (Wash.) with a degree in business and a minor in mathematics...completed his master's degree in athletic administration at Central Washington University in 2014...Graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Wash.

COACHING CAREER

Craig is in his third season as a coach at the professional level...spent the last two seasons (2018-19) with the Phillies as the club's bullpen catcher/receiving coach...spent the previous five seasons as a coach at the college level, most recently at Yale University in 2017...Spent the 2016-17 college season as a catching coach at Yale University...helped Yale to the 2017 Ivy League Championship and a program-record 34 wins...Served as the athletic recruitment coordinator and head assistant coach at the University of Puget Sound for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons...was also the catching coach and first base for the 2012-13 campaign...Was an assistant at Central Washington University for the 2013-14 season...helped lead the Wildcats to their first Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship in 2014.

PLAYING CAREER

Craig played collegiately for three seasons (2009-11) at the University of Puget Sound (Wash.) after spending one season at Columbia Basin College (Wash.)...As a captain in 2011 at Puget Sound, he earned All-Northwest Conference (NWC) honors at catcher, helping lead the Loggers to their best conference finish since joining the NWC...At Nathan Hale High School, he was a two-time all-Metro league selection in 2006-07, while earning Team Offensive MVP and Team MVP in his junior and senior season.
