MLB.com At Bat, the official app of Major League Baseball, keeps you connected to MLB and your favorite teams wherever you are.

Minimum Requirements

At Bat requires a minimum of Android OS version of 2.2 and will run on phones, tablets, and Kindle Fire devices. Devices running Android OS versions 2.2/2.3 will require Adobe Flash for MLB.TV (live or archived) video content. Due to the thousands of Android device/OS combinations, we cannot guarantee MLB.TV video content compatibility. Please see section 2 for a list of tested devices.

If a device is not specifically named below, there is a chance it may successfully play MLB.TV video content. A questionnaire will also be provided so that you can share your feedback related to your viewing experience.

3. MLB.com At Bat Offseason Features

MLB.com At Bat has two levels of access: At Bat Lite and At Bat 12.

At Bat Lite:

  • 2012 Results and Statistics
  • Park, roster, and ticketing Information
  • Quickly access team specific information by setting a "Favorite Team"

At Bat 12:

  • All At Bat Lite features
  • Watch 2012 full-game archives
  • Disable third-party banner ads

4. Getting Started

The first time you open MLB.com At Bat Lite, you will have three options. At Bat 12 users will not have these options.

  • Buy At Bat 12
  • Sign in with MLB.com account
  • Continue with At Bat Lite

Buy At Bat 12

At Bat 12 purchase is valid for the 2012 season. All billing concerns must be directed to Google Play or the Amazon App Store. MLB.com does not have access to Google Play or Amazon App Store accounts or transactions.

MLB.TV Premium users can enable At Bat 12 features by logging into the At Bat Lite application with their MLB.com credentials.

Continue with At Bat Lite

A paywall will appear when accessing premium features such as 2012 full-game archives presenting an option to purchase At Bat 12 from Google Play or the Amazon App Store.

5. Watching 2012 Full-Game Archives

At Bat 12 users will have the ability to watch 2012 full-game archives on their device.

  3. Tap on the desired broadcast

6. Settings

Favorite Team

The Favorite Team option will create a menu selection for quick access to team information. The team will also appear at the top of filters.

  1. Tap on "Menu" dropdown
  2. Tap on "Settings"
  3. Tap on "Favorite Team"
  4. Tap the radio button next to the favorite team of your choice

Low Memory Settings

You can define how the device handles low memory situations in regards to At Bat.

  1. Tap on "Menu" dropdown
  2. Tap on "Settings"
  3. Tap on "Low Memory Settings"
  4. Tap on "Stop Audio" or "Keep Playing"

Audio Feed

You can define the default audio feed used by At Bat.

  1. Tap on "Menu" dropdown
  2. Tap on "Settings"
  3. Tap on "Audio Feed"
  4. Tap on "Shoutcast" or "Alternate Audio"

Scoreboard Refresh Rate

You can define how often At Bat polls for new scoreboard data. This frequency can impact battery life as well as data usage.

  3. Tap on "Scoreboard Refresh Rate"
  4. Select 1 minute, 30 seconds, or 15 seconds

Widget Refresh Rate

You can define how often At Bat updates the home screen widgets. This frequency can impact battery life as well as data usage.

  3. Tap on "Widget Refresh Rate"
  4. Select 1 minute, 30 seconds, or 15 seconds

Gameday Scout

You can view color commentary on Gameday discussing statistical trends and tendencies.

  3. Tap on "Gameday Scout" to toggle on/off

MLB.com Account

The MLB.com Account setting allows a user to log in with their MLB.com credentials. MLB.TV Premium users can enable At Bat 12 features by logging into the application with their MLB.com credentials.

  3. Tap on "MLB.com Account"

Gameday Mode

This option will toggle the Gameday presentation between "Original" and a "2013 - Beta" mode.

  4. Tap the radio button for "Original" or "2013 - Beta"

7. Viewing Team Information

At Bat will allow you to view a team's news, videos 2013 schedule, and 2012 results as well as park, roster and ticketing information.

8. Home Screen Widgets

News and team widgets can be added to the home screen. Depending on the version of Android you have, the process is slightly different.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

I am unable to view content due to blackout restriction from my current viewing location. Based on blackout policy, the content should be available.

At Bat relies on your device's location services as well as network connectivity to determine your viewing location. If location services are not enabled on your device, or you are accessing via a cellular connection, At Bat may have difficulty determining your viewing location. If you believe you are incorrectly blacked out, please contact Customer Service for troubleshooting.

I purchased At Bat 12 from Google Play or the Amazon App Store. Can I use it on multiple devices?

Your At Bat 12 purchase from Google Play or the Amazon App Store entitles you to access At Bat 12 on multiple Android devices that are setup with the same account which made the purchase. Your At Bat 12 purchase is not valid on other platforms, such as iOS, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, computers, or connected devices.

I purchased a subscription to MLB.TV from MLB.com but cannot access At Bat 12 features.

If you purchased MLB.TV at MLB.com and you cannot access At Bat 12 features when accessing Subscriber Login with your MLB.com credentials using At Bat Lite, you likely purchased MLB.TV Basic, which does not include At Bat 12 access. You can purchase At Bat 12 to access the features.

Gameday Audio or MLB.TV stream is buffering, choppy, or not playing back.

If you're having difficulty streaming the Shoutcast and alternate stream, please follow the steps to force stop At Bat and restart your device. Also, reception bars are not a reliable indicator of streaming ability. While signal strength can be strong, the bars do not indicate network speed, congestion, or integrity. Attempt to switch between Cellular/WiFi or WiFi/Cellular, and also try from different locations. Streaming while in motion (driving/flying) may also impact your ability to receive streaming media.

  6. Tap on "Force stop"
  7. Tap the "Home" key to return to your device home screen
  8. Restart your device

I forgot my password. What should I do?

From the MLB.com Account screen, tap "Forgot Password." Enter your MLB.com account e-mail and we will send a new password to that address.

How do I log out of At Bat?

From the MLB.com Account screen, tap "Clear Credentials."
